HAM and CHEESE LOAF
This savory loaf doesn't take long to make and it's great for a brunch!

Dough:
3 1/2 cups flour 
2 tbsp yeast
 2 tbsp sugar 
1/4 tsp salt 

1 cup water
 1/4 cup prepared mustard
 2 tbsp butter 

Filling:
 3 cups chopped cooked ham 
1 cup swiss cheese
 3/4 cup diced dill pickles
 Dash of cornmeal
 1 egg lightly beaten, coat before baking

 Braid the dough
 ....like this...when finished add egg wash

 Bake as directed...
...finished product, ENJOY!

    Reserve 1 cup of flour. Mix remaining flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl microwave water, mustard and butter til warm. Stir liquid into dry ingredients. Mix in enough reserved flour to make a soft dough ball. Knead until smooth and elastic approx. 4 mins. Cover and let stand for 15 mins. Sprinkle cornmeal on a greased rectangle cookie sheet, gives a crunch later. Roll dough into rectangle shape then transfer to cookie sheet. Apply ingredients to the middle of dough. Then use a spatula to cut into 1 inch stips, braid dough. Cove. let rise for 30 mins. top with egg wash, bake @ 375 for 30 minutes.
